My name is Meg. I have been working in the Fitness and Wellness industry since 2007, and started coaching hockey at age 20. Living in a hockey town for the last 12 years I have coached high school players, and started my kids from their first steps on the ice and still coach them now. Currently I coach 3 levels starting with the youngest who are still learning to skate and up to kids 11 and younger. I lead dry land training for my oldest's team, these are the 10 & 11 year old skaters. I have been wellness coaching and training adults for the last 17 years. I focus on sugar consumption, immune function, and how exercise directly effects energy. I absolutely love working with youth athletes and watching their confidence build little by little everyday! That said, I still work with their parents, and the other youth coaches when I can. Why? Because the more adult role models they have, the better. And because I can work with a kid all day long, but if they go home to adults that don't understand what we worked on, why, or share the mindset then things get much more difficult to make things stick. A confident adult, breeds a confident child. I didn't say cocky, and I didn't say egotistical . . . yes, I know what you are thinking when I say I coach hockey ;) . . . When I say confident, I mean confident. I train adults the same way I train kids, to build confidence and watch them realize, "Holy shit, I can do that!"
